Boston Photo Walk

September 13, 2013

One of our evenings in Boston, I decided to go for a walk around the city while the boyfriend napped off his jet lag.  Walking alone without having to worry about holding anyone else up, I snapped away with my camera while wandering around the city.

First I made my way down to the harbor.  I’d just found out that we’d been staying mere blocks from the water for the last day and a half without realizing it.

Then I headed downtown through what might have been the Back Bay area.

How cool is this building-sized mural?  It was painted by a famous artist, but at this point I don’t remember who.  Does anyone recognize it?

The mural was designed to look like the person was nestled between the surrounding buildings.

It is located in a park near the Prudential Center.  The park itself was pretty cool as well, featuring an edible garden and other interactive features.  At the end that wasn’t flanked by this mural sat some other cool architecture.

Once I passed through this area, I followed signs pointing me toward Chinatown.

Eventually I found myself in Downtown Crossing, a busy shopping area, and decided to start making my way back to the hotel to get ready for dinner.

Boston is such a wonderfully walkable city and I thoroughly enjoyed my stroll.  I hope you enjoyed my snapshots!

Lovely shots – it’s great to go out alone and take your time with the camera. I’m always aware of holding people up too 🙂

Thank you! I totally agree – I usually find myself apologizing for stopping every 5 feet to take a photo. It’s a great feeling to worry about nobody’s agenda but my own 🙂

What are your thoughts?
