Vail Moment

June 19, 2013

Last night was the first show of Vail’s free summer Tuesday night concert series, Hot Summer Nights.  These concerts are often more about the social event than about the music and this one was no exception.  (A sharp contrast to my recent evenings with The Rolling Stones and Tim McGraw – what’s with me and concerts lately? I swear I’m going to go hike or something soon.)  There’s always a lively crowd on the lawn of the Ford Amphitheater and it’s a great place to meet up with friends, people watch and listen to music.

Toward the end of the show, my friends and I witnessed one of the best Vail moments I’ve been privy to in a little while and I just had to share it with you lovely people.  This multi-generational dance party (that’s mom, dad, two daughters and grandpa I believe) broke out next to us on the lawn and was filled with so much joy that it made us all stop to watch.Multi-Gen Dance Party

If that doesn’t make you smile, I’ve got nothing for ya.  Have a great Wednesday!
