Toes in the Sand

May 3, 2013

Greetings from sunny, warm Ft. Lauderdale, Florida!  From the beach here today it was hard to believe that we left a snowstorm behind in Colorado.  It was hard to believe that snow existed, period.

I’ll be back in a few days with more sunshiney beach photos and a review of the wonderful restaurant where we ate dinner last night, along with other fun.  Have a great weekend wherever you are!

You’re down south at my old stomping grounds! Enjoy the warm weather, us here in Boston are definitely jealous 🙂

Thank you! I know, I’m loving it and already dreading the return to cold Colorado. Hopefully you’ll get to make a trip down to warm up soon!

You’re (kind of) in our neck of the woods! 🙂 If you have time, drive north (away from SOME of the hustle and bustle of South Florida) to Delray Beach. Their downtown area has great restaurants and a fun atmosphere. If you have even more time, keep driving north to Jupiter, FL. Here, you’ll find more of a “local” vibe with the best beaches, a great intercoastal waterway (ideal for paddle boarding) and some fantastic restaurants. Welcome to a different kind of paradise! Just be sure to load up on the sunscreen, margaritas and fresh seafood! I can give specific recommendations, if you’d like… just let me know!

Thanks Diane! My parents live in Ft. Lauderdale so when we come down here to visit we rarely stray very far. We won’t have time on this trip but next time we are hoping to make more than a long weekend of it, and I’d love to see what the surrounding area has to offer. When we can make that happen I’d love to get in touch for your tips – thank you!
